Today’s message from Francesca is one of hopes and dreams. We all envision a future for ourselves from time to time. But when was the last time you sat down and really took a look at the future you want? When was the last time you imagined the specifics of the future you want and let that become a clear picture in your mind’s eye.
Drawing on the powers of your imagination can be just what you need to send the right energy out into the world. But sometimes it can be difficult to keep negativity at bay.
So why not draw the future you want? Physically drawing it can help you stay focused and if you ever feel negative thoughts creep in you can always look at your picture to remind you what it is that you truly want in life.
You don’t have to be an artist either. There are multiple ways you can use your creative energies to create visuals that will remind you what you’re working towards.
Sure, photography isn’t the most obvious way to draw pictures, but if you don’t have a creative bone in your body this is one of the easiest ways to capture your dreams. Whether that means taking photos of the house you want, snapping the good times you spend with friends and family, or just collecting an array of random images that keep you focused on your dreams - having a gallery you can flip through whenever you’re feeling down is a great way to stay motivated and focused.
Even if photography itself isn’t your thing you can use other people’s photos to build a collage of what it is that you want in the future. Adding colors and textures to the collage is a great way to fill in the tiny details like emotions to the overall picture. Don’t be afraid to add a piece of silf you want on a couch cushion, or the font you want on your wedding invitations - maybe a splash of pink and orange for warm contentment? The details you add should have a specific meaning for you.
Your drawing should mean something to you. That’s the most important part of it. So while clear imagery can help you really visualize your future, it’s the emotional content that’s more important. So don’t be afraid to go completely abstract.
A page filled with doodles and colors and bits and bobs that mean something to you is more effective than a picture you feel nothing towards. So don’t be afraid to create something that doesn’t really mean anything to anyone else. Focus on putting your emotions and imaginations onto the page. Even if it isn’t pretty in the conventional sense - abstract art can have more meaning than a boring picture, and that’s exactly what you need to create.
Adding little doodles to your diary can also help you impart little bits of energy into your future. In fact if you have an important meeting or event coming up, adding a little doodle of two to your diary entry can help you create just the right energy in your mind’s eye to make that meeting go better than you thought it ever could. It’s all about leaving little motivational notes for yourself to keep that negativity that’s been holding you back from reaching your goals at bay.
By really visualizing your future and the way it makes you feel just thinking about it - and then putting that feeling down onto a page - you’re already one step closer to having that future. Sometimes we need that visual reminder of what it is we want. Because when something is just an idea it can be difficult to keep a hold of, but when you actually draw it you’re already creating it in the present moment in some way.
That means you have a reference point to remind yourself that you are worth it - you can have your dreams. So let those creative energies help you draw on your own powers of manifestation and watch as your dreams come to life sooner than you can imagine.
